We offer a range of editorial services at competitive rates— Full-Service Editing, Self-Help Editing, and Editorial Review. We can edit on a printout of your manuscript and mail your the marked-up copy or edit directly in a Microsoft Word file using the change tracking feature. ( View a sample of a manuscript page with the editing included.) Of course, you make the final decisions as to which changes to accept.
Editorial Review Option: If you are unsure of which editing level to choose for your manuscript, we also offer a $149 Editorial Review option, for which we will review your entire manuscript (up to the first 120,000 words) and provide a summary of its strengths and weaknesses and our recommendation for the required level of editing (with reasons why). We strive to send you the results within four weeks. You may still choose whatever level of editing you prefer, of course. If you then select our Full-Service Editing for the same manuscript, we will credit your account for the full $149 price of the Editorial Review. How can you lose?
At worst, you will have an independent review of your manuscript. At best, you will save $149 on the price of editing your manuscript.
Self-Help Editing Option: Are you working on a tight budget? Just can't afford $1,000 or more for full-service editing? Consider our Self-Help Editing Option. You provide 10,000 words from your manuscript (either the first 10,000 or some other block of 10,000) and we will edit it to professional standards, complete with concise explanations of whys and hows. You can study what we did and then apply it yourself to the remainder of your manuscript. You pay only $299, and we return your edited partial manuscript within four weeks (usually less). If you then decide to contract with us to edit the rest of the manuscript, you will already have paid for those initial 10,000 words.
Full-Service Editing Option: Complete the form below for a no-cost, no-obligation quote. If your manuscript fits our expertise and our workload allows us to meet your schedule, we will provide a rough cost estimate and request that you send us a copy of the complete manuscript so we can provide a firm quote and a sample edit of the first five pages.
